COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Harding women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to #6 Columbus State on Friday night. The Lady Bisons fall to 1-4-1 on the season.
Lady Cougar Catherine Lovin received a pass from Gina Goforth to put Columbus State up 1-0 in the 20th minute. Six minutes later Goforth found the back of the net herself to put the Lady Cougars up 2-0. Columbus State took the 2-0 lead into halftime.
In the 55th minute of play, Lady Cougar Kate Walton scored on a pass by Stephanie Parish. In the 65th minute a Lady Bisons foul in the box would give the Lady Cougars a penalty kick. Kelsey Bass converted the penalty kick to put Columbus State up 4-0.
The Lady Cougars outshot the Lady Bisons, 18-4. Columbus State held Harding to only one shot on goal.
The Lady Bisons will be back in action Sunday at 9 a.m., facing South Atlantic opponent Tusculum in Columbus, Ga.
