SEARCY – Jodi-Ann Robinson scored a hat-trick to lead the 20th-ranked West Florida Argonauts past the Harding women's soccer team Sunday afternoon 3-0 in Gulf South Conference play. It was the Lady Bisons first GSC loss of the season. Harding falls to 4-5-1 overall and 2-1 in the GSC.
The Argonauts (7-2-0, 2-0 GSC) defense held the Lady Bisons to six shots, two were on goal. West Florida took 17 shots, six were on goal.
Robinson put West Florida on the board in the seventh minute when she dribbled through the Harding defense and found the bottom-right side of the net from six-yards out.
Harding played with the 20th-ranked team for most of the first half until a miscue in the Lady Bison box allowed Robinson to score from eight-yards out to put West Florida on-top 2-0.
The Lady Bisons tried to put together a rally before the halftime but the Argonauts defense didn't allow Harding to gain any momentum. West Florida took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
In the 63rd minute Alexis Garrand found Robinson 20-yards out to complete the hat-trick.
It was West Florida's third shutout of the season.
The Lady Bisons will be back in action Friday as they host Belhaven at 5 p.m., at the Harding soccer field.
