HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Harding women's soccer team found themselves behind in the late part of the second half but freshman forward Adriana Lucar scored two goals to lead the Lady Bisons to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory in Gulf South Conference action Friday afternoon. The Lady Bisons improved to 2-5-1 overall and 1-0 in the GSC.

The two teams were tied 1-1 until the 76th minute when Lucar dribbled through the UAH defense and found the back of the net for what proved to be the game winning goal.

It was the first time since defeating Lyon in 2008 that the Lady Bisons have had a comeback victory. It was the first conference road comeback since Oct. 14, 2007 when Harding beat West Georgia 3-1 after trailing 1-1 in the game.

UAH took a 1-0 lead in the 46th minute when Cady Resiman received a through ball and scored to put the Lady Chargers on top. In the 72nd minute, the Lady Bisons got the equalizer when Lucar dribbled through the UAH defense and scored to tie the game 1-1.

Harding took 13 shots, six were on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Chelsea Hornbeck had nine saves for the Lady Bisons.

Harding will back in action Sunday as they travel to Cleveland, Miss., to take on Delta State at 3 p.m.
