PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Harding women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Division I Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Tuesday night. It was the Lady Bisons first road loss of the season as they fell to 1-1 overall.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff got on the board in the 23rd minute of the contest when Silvia Fuentes found the back of the net. The Lady Bisons looked for the equalizer before the halftime horn but the Arkansas-Pine Bluff defense didn't allow it.
The Lady Lions went up 2-0 in the 63rd minute when Erika Forbes executed a penalty kick. Arkansas-Pine Bluff put the game out of reach three minutes later when Fuentes found the back of the net for her second goal of the night.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff scored their final goal in the 79th minute when Jade West scored her fifth goal of the season.
The Lady Lions took 12 shots, nine were on goal. The Lady Bisons had three shots, two were on goal.
Harding continues their four game road trip as they head to Milledgevlle, Ga. The Lady Bisons will face Florida Instiute of Technology on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and then on Sunday, Harding will face Anderson (SC) at 1:30 p.m.
