RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — For the third consecutive week, Harding senior goalkeeper Maysa Willis has been named the Great American Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
A native of Bentonville, Arkansas, Willis matched her season high with five saves to anchor the Lady Bisons in a 2-0 shutout victory over Oklahoma Baptist. The clean sheet marked Willis' fourth consecutive shutout and her fifth of the 2026 campaign.
Willis' stellar play in goal helped Harding (7-4-1, 6-1-0 GAC) collect three critical points and maintain sole possession of first place atop the GAC standings with 18 points. The Lady Bisons hold a narrow edge in a tightly contested title race, sitting just ahead of second-place Ouachita Baptist (17 points) and third-place Southwestern Oklahoma State (16 points).
Ouachita Baptist swept the remaining weekly conference awards, with sophomore forward Patience English named Offensive Player of the Week and junior defender Sahara Adams claiming Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Willis and the first-place Lady Bisons will put their shutout streak on the line next when they travel Thursday to Weatherford, Oklahoma, for a pivotal matchup against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
