HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Harding women's soccer team came from behind to take a 3-2 lead but gave up a late goal to tie Alabama-Huntsville on Friday in non-conference action 3-3. The Lady Bisons are now 3-6-1 on the season.

The three goals by each team tied for the highest scoring tie in Harding women's soccer history. The feat was by the same teams in the 2007 in Searcy.

The first half belonged to the Lady Chargers. In the 15th minute Becca Mauldin found Cady Reisman to put UAH up 1-0. Ten minutes later Shayla McWhorter found the back of the net to give the Lady Chargers a 2-0 lead. UAH took the lead into halftime.

After the break, Harding didn't take long to get on the board. In the 47th minute sophomore midfielder Ashley Royce had a break away and found the back of the net for her first career goal. Less than five minutes later Royce and senior forward Chelsea Brandon connected on a pass that led to sophomore forward Adriana Lucar's eighth goal of the season. Lucar gave the Lady Bisons their first lead of the game in the 63rd minute when she found the back of the net for her ninth goal of the season.

UAH tied the game in the 69th minute when Reisman found Luting Sun for her fourth goal of the season.

Alabama-Huntsville had five chances in overtime but only one was on frame.

Harding took 15 shots in the game, 12 of them were on goal. Lucar led HU with seven shots on goal.

Harding will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Pensacola, Fla., to face West Florida at 12:30 p.m.
