Harding Men Host Christian Brothers on Tuesday

Harding looks for its fifth straight win Tuesday against Christian Brothers.

SEARCY – The Harding men's basketball team has won four straight games after opening the season with a loss at Christian Brothers. Tuesday, the Bisons get another chance at the Bucs. Harding hosts Christian Brothers at 7:30 p.m. at the Rhodes Field House.

The game will be broadcast live on Searcy's TV16, HardingSports.com, and KVHU 95.3 FM with Billy Morgan and Scott Goode on the call. Live audio and live stats will also be available on HardingSports.com.

Since that opening game in Memphis, Harding (4-1) has road wins over Division I ULM and Alabama-Huntsville, then Division II's No. 2-ranked team. The Bisons then returned to the Rhodes Field House and won big over Champion Baptist and Central Baptist.

Leading the way for the Bisons has been junior Bradley Spencer. A native of Lonoke, Ark., Spencer led Harding in scoring in each of the last two games. Against Central Baptist, Spencer scored 15 points and added 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Christian Brothers enters the game 4-2 overall and is coming off two consecutive losses to Arkansas Tech. The Bucs fell 64-61 to the Wonder Boys at home on Nov. 29, after losing 65-49 to Tech on Nov. 22.

Zach Warner averages 16.7 points and has led the team in scoring in four of its six games this season, including the last three straight. Warner had 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting in the Bucs 69-62 victory over Harding on Nov. 15.

Harding and Christian Brothers have played 66 times with the Bisons leading the series 35-31. Harding holds a 21-9 lead in games played in Searcy.
