Harding Men Fall to Christian Brothers, 72-60

SEARCY – Christian Brothers connected on nine 3-pointers, several coming at key moments, and defeated Harding 72-60 on Tuesday in non-conference men's play at the Rhodes Field House.

Harding fell to 4-2 overall with both losses coming to Christian Brothers. The Bucs also defeated the Bisons 69-62 on Nov. 15 in Memphis.

Harding trailed the entire second half but went on a 15-2 run and pulled to within 57-55 on a 3-pointer by Bradley Spencer with 3:16 left. The Bisons missed a shot on their next possession, and Christian Brothers' Cory McArthy hit a 3-pointer. The Bucs led by four or more the rest of the way.

Senior Zach Roddenberry led Harding with a career-high 18 points. He was 7-of-8 from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line. Junior DeAntra Scott came off the bench to score 13 points.

Harry Green and Scott Dennis had 18 points each for Christian Brothers, which improved to 5-2.

Harding led early and held a 24-17 advantage with 5:14 left in the first half. The Bisons went without a field goal for the rest of the half, and the Bucs used a 17-2 run over that stretch to lead 34-26 at halftime.

Christian Brothers shot 44 percent from the field and made 9-of-23 3-pointers. The Bucs also connected on 17-of-20 free throws. Harding shot 46 percent but made only 4-of-14 3-pointers. The Bisons made 14-of-20 at the free throw line.

Harding's next game is Saturday at the Rhodes Field House. The Bisons conclude their four-game home stand against No. 7 Alabama-Huntsville. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
