DURANT, Okla. - Looking to bounce back from its first loss in its last six games, Harding men's basketball will take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip-off at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium. The game will air live in Searcy on KVHU 95.3-FM and HardingSports.com.
Harding (13-9, 8-4) had won five straight before falling 69-60 to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday at Rhodes Field House. The Bisons struggled at the free throw line, making only 18-of-34, and from 3-point range (2-of-15). Despite the loss, Harding remained in sole possession of third place in the nine-team Great American Conference. The Bisons are two games behind both Henderson State and Arkansas Tech, both 10-2 in conference play, with four games left to play.
Southeastern Oklahoma (9-16, 5-8) is also coming off a loss. The Savage Storm lost 68-57 to Arkansas Tech on Thursday in Durant and are currently seventh in the conference standings.
Harding defeated Southeastern Oklahoma earlier this season, winning 73-53 in Searcy on Jan. 21. The Bisons shot 61 percent in the second half to blow open a two-point halftime lead. Senior
Kirk Porter had one of his best games of the season with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Harding returns to Rhodes Field House on Monday against 20th-ranked Arkansas Tech. It will be Senior Night for the Bisons and tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
