SEARCY – Harding men's basketball will play its first-ever Great American Conference Tournament game Thursday at noon against Arkansas-Monticello at Bruin Field House in Bartlesville, Okla.
All of the games in the tournament will be streamed live for free. A link to the stream is available on HardingSports.com, and all games will also air live in Searcy on KVHU 95.3-FM with Billy Morgan and
Scott Goode on the call. The live stream is also available on Harding's TV16 on local cable.
Harding enters the tournament 13-13 overall and 8-8 in conference play. The Bisons earned the No. 6 seed and will meet the No. 3 seed Boll Weevils, who are 20-8 overall and 10-6 in the GAC.
Harding and Arkansas-Monticello split their two meetings this season. The Bisons won 74-66 in Searcy on Jan. 26, and the Boll Weevils won 80-73 in Monticello on Feb. 23.
This will be the 113th meeting between the teams since Harding restarted its collegiate basketball program in 1957, but the two teams have never met in a postseason conference tournament.
The winner of the Harding and Arkansas-Monticello plays the winner of Henderson State and Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday at noon.
