HAYS, Kan. – Harding men's soccer held off No. 25 Fort Hays State's prolific offense for one half, but the Tigers scored four times in the second half in a 4-0 victory over the Bisons on Saturday at FHSU Soccer Field.
Harding dropped to 2-5-1 overall and 2-3-0 in MIAA play, while Fort Hays State won its fourth straight and improved to 6-3-1 overall and 3-2-0 in conference.
After the scoreless first half, Fort Hays State scored a pair of goals just over three minutes apart early in the second half. Anthony Hernandez scored in the 54th minute, and Diego Cabral made the score 2-0 in the 57th minute.
Fort Hays State's Tanner Brock added the third goal in the 72nd minute, and Daniel Molina concluded the scoring in the 88th minute. The Tigers have now outscored their last four opponents 18-0.
Harding had nine shots in the game, including shots on goal from Barry Foster, Cole Walker, and Dylan Sherrill.
Harding plays its fifth of seven straight MIAA games Thursday when it hosts Lindenwood at 7 p.m.
