HU Women's Cross-Country Places Fourth at Chile Pepper Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Harding women's cross-country placed fourth of 33 non-Division I teams Saturday at the Chile Pepper Cross-Country Festival. It was the fourth time Harding has finished in the top 10 in seven races at the Chile Pepper.

Harding scored 138 points. Montevallo won the event with 92 points and were followed by Colorado School of Mines 119 points and Oklahoma Baptist with 128 points.

Senior Ewa Zaborowska was Harding's top finisher, placing third in 16 minutes, 54.37 seconds. It was the fastest 5K time of Zaborowska's career. Kelsey Bruce of Dallas Baptist won in 16:34.02.

Harding's other scoring runners included: Sylvie Mueller (18th, 18:03.39); Kelsey Taylor (24th, 18:11.16), Amber Webb (40th, 18:30.83), Madison Drennan (53rd, 18:39.42). Tammy Kim (72nd, 18:54.70) was sixth among Harding runners, and Kirstie Smith (99th, 19:23.28) was seventh.
