Minnesota-State Moorhead Buzzer-Beater Sinks Harding at GAC/NSIC Crossover

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Harding and ninth-ranked Minnesota State-Moorhead played one of the wildest games on the opening day of the 2015-16 NCAA Basketball season Friday in the GAC/NSIC Crossover.

Minnesota State-Moorhead led by 15 in the first half. Harding led by 19 in the second half. Neither team led at the end of regulation.

Harding's John Hudson hit a 3-pointer with four seconds left in overtime that it appeared would send the game into double overtime. But Moorhead's Tanner Kretchman drove the length of the floor and hit the game-winning layup as the buzzer sounded to give the Dragons an 83-81 victory.

Arkansas Tech is hosting the four-game crossover between teams from the Great American Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, both part of the NCAA II Central Region.

Senior preseason All-America honoree Andraz Kavas led Harding with 27 points and added seven rebounds. Sophomore Reggie Anthony added 16 points and six rebounds, and senior Blake McNair scored 11 points.
