Harding and Oklahoma Baptist meet for the first time in Great American Conference play Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding is coming off an 86-57 victory over Southern Nazarene on Thursday. All five of Harding's starters scored in double figures, led by junior Stefan Andelkovic, who scored 20 points. Senior Andraz Kavas scored 19 points and led the team with nine rebounds.

Harding and Oklahoma Baptist are the top two teams in the GAC in assist-to-turnover ratio. Harding leads at 1.3 (93 ast, 70 to) with Oklahoma Baptist next at 1.2 (76 ast, 63 to).

Oklahoma Baptist is coming off an 85-60 loss to Arkansas Tech in Russellville on Thursday. The Bison made 12 3-pointers and only 11 2-pointers and shot 2 of 7 from the free-throw line. Steven Green made six 3-pointers and led Oklahoma Baptist with 20 points. Tech outscored Oklahoma Baptist 51-33 in the second half.

Andraz Kavas has scored 1,052 points, 28th in Harding's history. He needs eight points to pass Chad Ware (1,059, 2000-04) and 25 points to pass Zach Roddenberry (1,076, 2008-13).

Harding Team Notes: 
Senior Andraz Kavas leads the GAC and ranks ninth in Division II in scoring at 25.2 points per game. He has scored at least 19 points in each game and has 20 or more points in five of Harding's six games. He is also third in the GAC with 7.7 rebounds per game and third in field-goal percentage (62.1).

Harding leads the GAC with a 1.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. The Bisons have 93 assists and only 70 turnovers. Harding has had at least 13 assists in each game. In the last three games, the Bisons have a 1.6 ratio.

Senior Blake McNair is third in the GAC in free-throw percentage at 89.5 percent. He has made 17 of 19. He is also third in the conference with 36.0 minutes played per game. 

Series Notes:
Harding and Oklahoma Baptist are meeting for the third time. The teams played a home-and-home series in 1985 and 1986 with the home team winning each time. 

Oklahoma Baptist won the first meeting on Nov. 26, 1985 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Kenny Collins led Harding with 15 points and six rebounds. He shot 7 of 11 from the field. Tim Smallwood scored 12 points and also had six rebounds.

Harding won the second meeting on Nov. 25, 1986 in Searcy. Harding had six players score 12 or more points and were led by Shannon Hughes with 19 points and a then-record eight steals. Harding led 55-29 at halftime, but Oklahoma Baptist scored 68 points in the second half. Harding made 3 of 4 from 3-point range, in the first year of the 3-point shot, but made 46 of 58 free throws. The 46 free throws rank second in a single game behind only 48 free throws against Arkansas-Monticello in 1992.

Opponent Notes:
Oklahoma Baptist is 3-2 overall and 1-2 in GAC games. The Bison have lost their only other road game, an 85-60 loss to Arkansas Tech on Thursday. Oklahoma Baptist split two home conference games, falling to Ouachita Baptist (78-58) and defeating Henderson State (61-57).

Oklahoma Baptist leads the GAC in scoring defense, allowing only 67.2 points per game. The Bison have held two of their five opponents to fewer than 60 points.

Sophomore guard Vladimir Nemcok, a resident of Slovakia, leads the GAC with 6.0 assists per game. He has had six or more assists in four of Oklahoma Baptist's five games.

Oklahoma Baptist introduced Quinn Wooldridge as its 19th men's basketball head coach after the 2014-15 season. A 1999 OBU graduate and 2012 OBU Hall of Fame inductee, Wooldridge played all four years as a Bison, finishing his career as the all-time leader in games played and third all-time in career scoring with 1,886 points.
