Harding Tennis Teams Meet Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday in Durant

DURANT, Okla. – Harding's men's and women's tennis teams will continue Great American Conference play Friday at 9:30 a.m. in matches against Southeastern Oklahoma.

Harding's men enter the match 10-8 overall and 0-1 in GAC matches, falling 8-1 to Ouachita Baptist in Searcy on Wednesday. The Bisons have only one more conference match Saturday, April 18 vs. East Central in Searcy.

Sophomore Neto Cacace earned Harding's point against Ouachita Baptist with a three-set victory at No. 6 singles. It was his fourth victory in five three-set matches this season and his sixth victory in his last eight matches overall. Cacace has also won a team-high 18 doubles matches this season, the most by a Harding player since four players won 19 or more in 1998.

Southeastern's men are 12-2 overall and 1-0 in conference matches. The Savage Storm defeated Ouachita Baptist 7-2 in Durant on April 3. Southeastern will play East Central on April 14 in its final GAC match.

Southeastern is ranked No. 29 in NCAA Division II by ITATennis.com. The Savage Storm No. 1 doubles team of Alberto Blesa and Tiago Ferreira is ranked No. 24 nationally. Southeastern is ranked No. 5 in the Central Region, with Maxim Fil ranked No. 13 regionally in singles and the team of Blesa and Ferreira ranked No. 5 in doubles.

Harding's women are 8-6 overall and 1-1 in the GAC. The match with Southeastern will be the first of four remaining conference matches.

The Lady Bisons are coming off a 6-3 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday. Harding swept the doubles and won three of six singles matches. Lady Bison sophomore Piper Huey leads Harding with 12 singles victories and is ranked No. 8 in the Central Region.

Southeastern's women are 11-4 overall and 4-0 and in first place in the GAC. The Savage Storm has won seven straight matches and have outscored conference opponents 28-8.

Southeastern's Sandra Reljic is the 18th-ranked singles player in the region.
