SEARCY — Harding junior Sebastian De Las Salas has been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team, the organization announced.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined elite performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and compete in 75% of the team's varsity matches.

De Las Salas, a native of Cucuta, Colombia, joined the Harding program this season after transferring from Southern Arkansas. He carries a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average while pursuing a degree in international business.

On the court, the junior turned in a spectacular 2025-26 campaign that helped vault the Bisons into the final national rankings and the program's first-ever NCAA Round of 16 appearance in Surprise, Arizona.

Playing primarily across the top two flights, De Las Salas compiled a 15-7 overall record in singles play. His stellar dual match performance earned him the No. 13 spot in the final ITA Central Region singles rankings. Earlier in the spring, he was honored as the MIAA/GAC South Division Athlete of the Week after going a perfect 2-0 to secure a critical regional win over Northwest Missouri State.

In doubles action, De Las Salas proved to be equally formidable, logging a 14-8 overall record. He spent much of the dual-match season paired with senior Edoardo D'Arrigo at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. The tandem was ranked as high as No. 35 nationally during the spring and came up clutch down the stretch, including a vital 6-4 victory that secured the crucial doubles point in Harding's MIAA/GAC South Division Championship-clinching win over Ouachita Baptist.
