Rogers State's Masterson Scores Three Goals; HU Men's Soccer Falls 3-0

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The good news for Harding men's soccer on Sunday against Rogers State was that it held the Hilltoppers to three shots on goal. The bad news was that Rogers State's Naill Masterson scored on all three of them and led the Hilltoppers to a 3-0 victory over Harding. It was the second of three straight road games for the Bisons, who conclude the stretch at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri on Thursday.

RECORDS
Harding dropped to 0-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 on the road. Rogers State of the NCAA Division II Heartland Conference won its third straight overall and second straight shutout and improved to 3-1-0 overall and 2-1-0 at home. Sunday's game was the first meeting between the schools in men's soccer.

GOALS
Rogers St. 1, Harding 0 – 22nd minute – Masterson collected a through ball and scored his first goal of the season. Assists to Carson Lynn and Danko Kenjic.
Rogers St. 2, Harding 0 – 55th minute – Masterson again got behind the Bison defense and scored on a pass from Lars Lindtner.
Rogers St. 3, Harding 0 – 71st minute – Masterson completed the hat trick with a goal on a free kick from 35 yards out.

TEAM STATS
Harding had 30 shots in its first two games but only 14 in its last two games, including eight Sunday.

Harding tied its season high with four shots on goal.

Rogers State's three shots on goal were the fewest this season allowed by Harding.

INDIVIDUAL STATS
Masterson's hat trick was the first against Harding since Juan Peralta of Northeastern State scored three on Nov. 1, 2013.

Jason Diaz and Aaron Craig led Harding with two shots each.
