Anthony's 22 Leads Harding to Fifth GAC Road Victory

Postgame Interview with Coach Morgan

MAGNOLIA, Ark
. – Harding sophomore Reggie Anthony can almost always get to the basket off the dribble. Monday, he continued to do that, and he added a few mid-range jumpers and his first 3-pointer of the season to score 22 points and lead the Bisons to an 82-67 victory over Southern Arkansas in Great American Conference action at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

The victory moves Harding to 10-6 overall and keeps the Bisons tied for first place in the GAC at 9-2 midway through the conference season. Harding has won five of its six conference road games, the most road victories during the Bisons' four seasons in the GAC.

Junior Stefan Andelkovic came off the bench to score 19 points, hitting five of Harding's eight 3-pointers, including two late in the second half that helped the Bisons pull away from the Muleriders.

Senior Blake McNair made all 10 of his free throws and scored 18 points.

Reserve forward Alvin Braddock led Southern Arkansas with 17 points.

The lead changed hands nine times in the first half, but Harding took a 35-33 lead at halftime when Anthony drilled a 3-pointer from the right wing with 15 seconds remaining.

Harding went on a 10-0 run early in the second half that included four each from Anthony and Jacob Gibson. The Bisons led by at least six points the rest of the second half, and consecutive 3-pointers by Andelkovic gave Harding its biggest lead at 18 points, 68-50, with 6:09 remaining in the game.
