Harding Men's Soccer Shutout in GAC Finale

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita Baptist scored two goals in a four-minute stretch of the first half and defeated Harding 2-0 in Great American Conference men's soccer action at Kluck Field.

The game concluded the conference regular-season schedule for both teams, and the two will meet again in the semifinals of the GAC Tournament. Both Harding and Ouachita finished 3-3 in conference. Ouachita, who won both meetings with Harding, will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament with Harding the No. 3 seed. Oklahoma Baptist will host the tournament in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Gideon Onguti scored Ouachita's first goal in the 36th minute, and Dylan Tritton doubled the Tigers' lead less than four minutes later.

Ouachita (8-7) outshot Harding 12-9, including 6-3 in shots on goal.

Harding (12-5) plays its final regular-season game Sunday at 3 p.m. against Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. Mississippi College is a member of the NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference.
