BETHANY, Okla. – Harding erased a 20-point second-half lead, but Southern Nazarene shot 70 percent in the second half and defeated the Bisons 93-87 Thursday in Great American Conference action at the Sawyer Center.

The loss snapped Harding's six-game winning streak and dropped the Bisons to 12-7 overall and 11-3 in conference games. Southern Nazarene improved to 9-11 overall and 8-6 in the GAC.

Harding trailed 51-31 on a 3-pointer by Southern Nazarene's Deshon Portley with 17:38 remaining. At that point, the Bisons began chipping away and taking advantage of 12 second-half turnovers by the Crimson Storm.

Harding took its first lead of the second half, 75-74, on a 3-pointer by Jacob Gibson with 3:04 left. Southern Nazarene answered with 3-pointers from CJ Rodriguez and Anton Kankaanpaa and led the rest of the way.

Rodriguez led all players with 31 points, connecting on 10-of-11 shots, including 5-of-6 3-pointers.

Reggie Anthony was 9-of-11 from the field and scored 23 points, and Gibson also had 23. Will Francis scored 16 points, all in the second half, and Stefan Andelkovic added 14.

Harding led 18-17 on John Hudson's 3-pointer with 9:13 left in the first half but missed 10 of its next 11 shots. During that stretch, Southern Nazarene made 11 of its next 14 attempts and pulled out to a 39-21 lead with 2:18 remaining in the half. It was the largest deficit Harding had faced in a game this season, and the Bisons trailed 41-27 at halftime.

Hudson's 3-pointer was the only one the Bisons made in the first half, shooting 1-of-12 as a team.

TEAM STATS
Southern Nazarene shot 59 percent, the highest by a Harding opponent this season. The Bisons shot 45 percent and have made more than 40 percent in all but one game this season.

Harding outscored Southern Nazarene 28-4 off turnovers.

Harding and Southern Nazarene were the top two 3-point shooting teams in the GAC entering the game, and both teams made 10 3-pointers.

INDIVIDUAL STATS
Reggie Anthony scored more than 20 points for the third time this season. His nine field goals tied a career high.

Gibson had his seventh 20-point game of the season and second straight.

Rodriguez's 31 points were the most by a Harding opponent this season.
