Craig Scores Twice Late in Harding Men's Soccer Loss at Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Two late Aaron Craig goals that came after Oklahoma Baptist went a man down were not enough to erase a four-goal deficit, and Harding men's soccer had its school-record six-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 loss. It was the Great American Conference opener for both teams.

Harding (6-2, 0-1) entered the game with a 540-minute shutout streak that ended in the 31st minute against Oklahoma Baptist (3-4-1, 1-0). Oklahoma Baptist added three more goals in the first 20 minutes after halftime.

Oklahoma Baptist's Michael Stewart received a red card in the 69th minute, and Craig was able to take advantage.

A junior defender from Forney, Texas, Craig's goals were his first of the season and second and third of his career. The goals came in the 83rd and 88th minutes and were Harding's only two shots on goal in the game.

Harding returns to action Saturday with another GAC game against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma. The game begins at 2 p.m.
