Harding Men's Soccer Blanks Dallas Christian 4-0

DALLAS – Harding men's soccer evened its record with a 4-0 victory over Dallas Christian College on Saturday. The Bisons received goals from four different players and moved to 1-1 after Thursday's 1-0 loss to Dallas Baptist. It was the first victory for Harding first-year head coach Jon Ireland.

Harding led 3-0 at halftime with goals coming from sophomore Jason Diaz, sophomore Matheus Ribeiro and senior Phillip White. Freshman Braeden Grundy scored in the 68th minute to conclude the scoring for Harding.

It was the fourth career goal for Diaz and the first for Ribeiro, White and Grundy. White, a three-time all-region defender, scored his first collegiate goal in his 48th game as a Bison.

Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Wasson recorded his first shutout of the season and second of his career.

Harding's next game will be its home opener. The Bisons host Union University from Jackson, Tennessee, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
