Arkansas State Defeats Harding Men's Basketball in Preseason Exhibition

JONESBORO, Ark. – Arkansas State defeated Harding men's basketball 93-65 Saturday in an exhibition game at First National Bank Arena. It was the Bisons' only exhibition game, and Harding will open its regular season on Nov. 16 against Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant.

Senior Tim Wagner led Harding with 21 points, connecting on 6-of-14 field goals and 9-of-10 free throws. Sophomore Adam Horn had 13 points.

Arkansas State, an NCAA Division I team in the Sun Belt Conference, led Harding 62-37 at halftime. The Bisons outscored the Red Wolves 31-28 in the second half.

Harding shot 34 percent but made only 1-of-17 3-point attempts. The Bisons were 26-of-37 from the free-throw line.

Ty Cockfield led Arkansas State with 17 points.
