Harding's Alex Williamson Named to PING All-Central Region Team

SEARCY – Harding senior golfer Alex Williamson became the first Bison golfer to receive NCAA all-region honors Tuesday when he was listed among 13 golfers on the Division II PING All-Central Region Team.

Williamson, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, set a Harding record with a 73.25 stroke average during the 2016-17 season. In 11 events this season, Williamson shot par or better in 11 rounds, had two top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes, and earned first-team All-Great American Conference honors.

Williamson tied for 15th at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional and finished the season ranked fifth in the Central Region by GolfStat.com.
