Big Runs Key Harding Men's Basketball Victory over Crowley's Ridge

SEARCY – Harding scored 39 points Crowley's Ridge turnovers and defeated the Pioneers 95-63 Saturday in nonconference men's basketball action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

A 20-4 Harding run over the last three minutes of the first half and the first four minutes of the second half was the key stretch of the game. Harding went from a 33-29 lead to a 53-33 advantage during the run. Harding also had a 17-1 run over an eight-minute stretch that ended midway through the second half.

Harding improved to 2-2 with the victory with both of its wins coming at home.

Crowley's Ridge, an NAIA team located in Paragould, Arkansas, committed 28 turnovers, 14 in each half. Harding had only 14 for the game.

Freshman Gabriel Divic led Harding in scoring for the fourth straight game, posting a season-high 26 points. He was 8-of-16 from the field, hitting four 3-pointers and all six of his free-throw attempts.

Adam Horn added 15 points for Harding, and Reggie Anthony and Romen Martin scored 10 each.

Randy Stanley led Crowley's Ridge with 23 points.

Harding shot 44 percent in the first half and led 42-31 at the break. Crowley's Ridge shot 52 percent in the first half but its 14 turnovers led to 19 Harding points.

Harding's next game is Monday, Nov. 26, at Christian Brothers in Memphis, Tennessee. The Bisons open Great American Conference play on Nov. 29 at home against Arkansas-Monticello.
