SEARCY – Four different Harding men's soccer players scored as the Bisons defeated Williams Baptist 4-3 in non-conference action at the Stevens Soccer Complex.
Harding last scored four goals in a game at Southern Nazarene last season. The Bisons won 4-1 in that game.
The Bisons improve to 6-2-1 overall and Williams Baptist falls to 4-4-1.
GOALS
Harding 1, Williams Baptist 0 – 23rd minute – Jack Savage chipped the ball over the goalkeeper for his fourth goal of the season.
Harding 2, Williams Baptist 0 – 30th minute – Braeden Grundy sent a cross from the right that found Jason Diaz for his third goal of the season.
Harding 2, Williams Baptist 1 – 37th minute – Henrique Torres found Giovanni Souze for the goal.
Harding 3, Williams Baptist 1 – 40th minute – Bryant Young took a shot that was saved but the rebound fell to Peter Hmung who found the back of the net. It was his second goal of the season.
Harding 3, Williams Baptist 2 – 67th minute – Joao Lucredi found Thayrone Cazeca who took a shot from the top of the box and found the left side of the net.
Harding 4, Williams Baptist 2 – 81st minute – Braeden Grundy found the back of the net on a goalmouth scrabble. It was his second goal of the season.
Harding 4, Williams Baptist 3 – 84th minute – Thayrone Cazeca found Ramon Matsuy who hit a bending shot from the outside of the left side of the box.
STATS
Harding took 23 shots, 13 were on goal. Julio Martins and Braeden Grundy each had five shots in the game.
Williams Baptist took 12 shots, seven were on goal.
