DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma shot 53 percent Saturday and defeated Harding 76-55 in Great American Conference men's basketball action at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
Southeastern won for the sixth time in seven home games and improved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the GAC.
With the loss, Harding fell to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in conference games. The Bisons return home Thursday to host Oklahoma Baptist at 7:30 p.m.
Southeastern led for all but 49 seconds of the game, and held a 37-25 lead at halftime. Harding's last lead was 10-7 with 13:23 left in the first half. The Savage Storm extended its lead to as many as 27 in the second half.
Harding struggled from the field in the first half, connecting on 11 of 33 shots (33 percent). The Bisons's only 3-pointers came from Collier Blackburn and Filip Medjo. Harding shot 37 percent for the game and went 2-of-22 from 3-point range.
Southeastern shot 59 percent (13 of 22) in the first half and made 5 of 11 3-pointers. The Savage Storm shot 48 percent (15 of 31) in the second half.
JV Long led Harding with 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists. J.P. Brandon added 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
Kellen Manek led the Storm with 22 points and eight rebounds. Kevin Buckingham had 18 points and six rebounds.
