Harding Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita Baptist's Matt Heffernan scored just under three minutes into the second half to give the Tigers a 1-0 victory over Harding men's soccer Saturday in Great American Conference action at Kluck Field.

With the loss, Harding falls to 8-5-2 overall and 7-4-1 in the GAC. The Bisons dropped to third in the GAC standings with two games remaining. The top four teams in the eight-team conference reach the conference tournament.

Ouachita improved to 4-10-2 overall and 4-7-1 in conference. The Tigers will not figure in the postseason tournament.

Harding goalkeeper Carlos Calderon had nine saves, matching his season high.

The Bisons next play Thursday, Nov. 7 at Northeastern State and finish the regular season at home Saturday, Nov. 9 against Rogers State.
