Harding Men's Soccer Falls 5-3 at Northeastern State; Ramos Sets Goals Record

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State scored two late goals to break a tie and defeat Harding 5-3 in Great American Conference action on a chilly Thursday night.

Trailing 3-1 at halftime, Harding rallied to tie the game with goals from Andre Cunha and a record-breaking goal from Christian Ramos. Ramos's goal was his school-record 17th of the season.

Northeastern answered with goals from Flynn Semmerling in the 68th minute and Jameson Biles in the 85th minute to pull away.

With the loss, Harding dropped to fourth place in the conference with a 7-5-1 record. Northeastern State moved up a spot to third place at 8-5-0. The top four teams make the conference tournament with Fort Hays State and Rogers State already having clinched. Newman is tied with Harding for the fourth spot.

Harding's first-half goal came from Ross White, his first of the season. Cunha's goal was his second.

Northeastern's five goals were the most for the RiverHawks this season.

Harding had 18 shots in the game, nine from Ramos, who had five of the Bisons's eight shots on goal.

Harding plays its final game of the regular season Saturday at home against Rogers State.
