Bowes Goal Lifts Harding over Rogers, Clinches Tournament Berth

SEARCY, Ark. – Harding sophomore Donnell Bowes tapped in a cross from Joe Ruedi in the 24th minute to give the Bisons a 1-0 victory over Rogers State Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Stevens Soccer Field.

The victory pushed Harding to 9-6-2 overall and 8-5-1 in the GAC, clinching a spot for the Bisons in the GAC Tournament. Harding could be either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed.

The goal for Bowes was his second of the season and came just after a corner kick.

Rogers State ended the regular season with a 12-5-1 overall record and 9-5-0 conference mark. If Harding is the No. 3 seed, the two teams will meet again in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Harding honored five seniors playing their final home game in a pregame ceremony.
