Reddie Run Sinks Harding, Bisons Fall to Henderson State 73-56

SEARCY – A slow start to the second half put Harding in a hole too big to overcome, and the Bisons fell 73-56 to Henderson State Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding trailed 38-29 at halftime and 42-32 early in the second half. Henderson State scored the next 18 points and led 60-32 with 11:20 remaining.

The Bisons (5-19, 3-15) battled back to trim the advantage to 65-45 on Colin Hale's 3-pointer with 8:13 remaining, Harding's first 3-pointer of the game. The long-range shot was part of a 12-0 Harding run that cut the Henderson State lead to 65-52 with 6:37 left. The Bisons pulled within 13 twice but got no closer.

Hale led Harding in scoring with 12 points. Henderson State had four players in double figures, led by Chris Parker with 17 points. The Reddies (16-8, 11-7) made 10 3-pointers and shot 42 percent from the field.

Harding returns to action Thursday at Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma.
