Harding Women's Cross-Country Places Second at Bob Gravett Invitational

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Harding women's cross-country opened its season with a second-place finish among five teams at the Bob Gravette Invitational, hosted by Ouachita Baptist.

Harding finished with 49 points, trailing only race winner Tarleton State (33). The Lady Bisons finished ahead of Great American Conference schools Southern Arkansas (3rd, 57), Ouachita Baptist (4th, 91) and Arkansas-Monticello (5th, 154).

Harding's five scoring runners all finished in the top 13 runners. Freshman Nieves Megias was Harding's top finisher, placing fifth in the 5K race in 19:57.3. Sophomore Sydney Tabor placed eighth in 20:22.9. Senior Sydney Sanders placed 11th in 20:35.3, followed by senior Parker Fane in 12th in 20:44.8 and freshman Jada Trice 13th in 20:45.3.

Imani Williams of Tarleton State won the race in 19:26.5.
