SEARCY – Harding connected on 14 3-pointers, including six from Amanda Kearney and five from Carissa Caples and defeated Northwestern Oklahoma 85-61 Thursday in Great American Conference play at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
Caples and Kearney both had 19 points to lead Harding. It matched a career-high point total for Kearney. Cheyenne Brown had 17 points and eight assists, and Peyton Padgett had a career-high 13 assists, tied for third at Harding in a single game.
Harding won its third straight and improved to 10-7 overall and 7-4 in conference games. Northwestern Oklahoma lost its third straight road game and fell to 9-8 overall and 5-6 in conference games. Harding has won all 15 meetings Northwestern Oklahoma.
Kalea King led Northwestern with 15 points, shooting 8 of 11 at the free-throw line.
Harding is back in action Saturday at home against Southwestern Oklahoma.
