Late Goal Give Bisons Victory over Southern Nazarene

Georgios Petousis scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of the second overtime as Harding defeated Southern Nazarene 3-2 on Saturday morning. The goal was Petousis' second of the match and third of the season.
 
Harding improves to 2-6-2 overall and 2-4-2 in conference play while Southern Nazarene falls to 9-6-0 and 6-3-0 in conference. 
 
The Crimson Storm scored two first half goals to take an early 2-0 lead less than 30 minutes into the match. Angel Lopez scored his third goal of the season in the 24th minutes and Shun Kushima scored his first goal of the season off a corner kick from Eric Romero in the 29th minute. 
 
Andres Castano cut the deficit in half in the 35th minute when his chip shot went over the keeper and into the goal from 40 yards out for his second goal of the season. After a red card forced the Crimson Storm to play with ten players the rest of the match, Petousis scored his first goal of the match in the 59th minute from Castano to tie the match. 
 
Southern Nazarene outshot the Bisons 17-15 and 11-6 shots on goals. Nick Foederer recorded nine saves to lead the defense. Petousis had five shots and Stefano Silva had six shots with one on goal. 
 
Foederer, Petousis, Castano, Jack Savage, Adrian Renteria, Tyler Sterbenz, and Manny Fadel played the full 110 minutes for the Bisons. 
 
The Bisons will return to action on Thursday October 28 when they host Newman at the Stevens Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
