Emma Roberts Named GAC Offensive Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league's eighth GAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the 2021 season. Harding's Emma Roberts and Ouachita's Alexis Perry shared the Offensive award. Oklahoma Baptist's Kelsi Mensen and Ireland Jeffrey earned the Defensive Player and Goalkeeper honors.

GAC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Emma Roberts, Harding, F, Sr., Bentonville, Arkansas

Roberts notched four goals in only 44 minutes of playing time in the Lady Bisons' 9-0 home win against Southern Nazarene on Saturday. She recorded the 12th four-goal performance in league history and increased her season total to 15, two off the conference lead. In her two games against the Crimson Storm, she has six goals and an assist for a total of 13 points.

GAC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Alexis Perry, Ouachita, M, So., Yorba Linda, California

Two days prior to Roberts' four-goal effort, Perry collected four goals of her own as part of the Tigers' 7-0 victory against the Crimson Storm. She registered the first four-goal game by a Tiger since All-American Haley Hatched found the back of the net four times on October 17, 2014. She entered the match with one goal on the season.

GAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kelsi Mensen, Oklahoma Baptist, M, Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado

Mensen helped the Bison back line surrender just eight combined shots on goal in road wins against Harding and Ouachita. She played the full 90 minutes in both victories. Her effort in those matches helped Oklahoma Baptist become the first school to clinch a berth to the GAC Championships.

GAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Ireland Jeffrey, Oklahoma Baptist, Fr., Plano, Texas

Jeffrey notched clean sheets at Harding and Ouachita to extend her scoreless streak to 348:26. She has shutouts in four of her last five starts to lower her goals-against average to a GAC-leading 0.58. She made eight saves in the two wins to increase her

save percentage to .857, the second-best mark in the conference.
