The Harding men's soccer team gave up two second half goals to Fort Hays State and fell 2-0 in Searcy on Saturday. Harding fell to 3-7-2 on the year and 3-5-2 in conference. Fort Hays State improved to 10-4-2 overall and 7-2-1 in conference.
After a back-and-forth scoreless first half, Ethan Doud broke the tie with his first goal of the season in the 55
thminute. Doud made the shot off a rebound from his own blocked shot. Taisei Arima scored the second and final goal of the game in the 74
th minute to finish the game 2-0. Arima's seventh goal of the season came off a cross from Michael Samuel, and Arima shot with his left foot to the bottom of the goal.
The Tigers outshot the Bisons 18-13 in total shots and 6-5 in shots on goal.
Nick Foederer got the start in goal for the Bisons and recorded four saves.
Stefano Silva led the Bisons offense with four total shots, and two shots on goal. Harding had ten players play the full 90 minutes.
The Bisons will play next on Thursday, November 4 against Ouachita Baptist, kicking off at 5 p.m. The Bisons will honor their seniors in their final home game.
