MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Harding men's basketball team got within eight in the second half but Arkansas-Monticello went on to win 71-57 in Great American Conference action.
Harding falls to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the GAC.
Arkansas-Monticello improves to 6-3 on the season and 2-1 in the GAC.
The Weevils shot 51.0 percent from the field making 26-of-51 shots. Josh Williams led Arkansas-Monticello with 15 points, making 6-of-10 from the field.
Taylor Currie led all scoring with 19 points for Harding making 8-of-13 shots and also grabbed eight rebounds. Romen Martin made 6-of-7 from the free throw line and ended with 16 points. Ramiro Santiago also added 11 points.
The Bisons will be back in action next Saturday when they host Henderson State at 7:30 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves House.
