Harding Mourns the Passing of Former Baseball Coach Dick Johnson

SEARCY - Former Harding head baseball coach Dick Johnson died Friday, Feb. 5 at the age of 95.

Coach Johnson graduated from Harding in 1959. He returned to his alma mater in 1969 and became Harding's head baseball coach and an assistant football coach.

Coach Johnson won 289 games in his Harding career and led the Bisons to the 1984 Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference championship and the 1985 NAIA District 17 championship.

Coach Johnson loved the Bisons and had a tremendous impact on the lives of his players. He will be missed.
