The Harding men's soccer team traveled to Wichita, Kansas on Thursday night to take on Newman, and tied the Jets 0-0 after extra time. Harding is now 0-4-1 on the season and 0-2-1 in conference. Newman is 0-5-1 on the year and 0-0-1 in GAC play.
The Bisons played most of the match with only ten players after a red card was issued in the 27
th minute. Harding and Newman both had eight shots total. The Bisons had only three on goal while the Jets had six.
Nick Foederer started his fourth match of the season and recorded his first shutout of the season. Foederer also collected six saves on the night. The Bisons offense was led by
Andres Castano and
Andrew Wagner. Castano had three shots with one on goal while Wagner had two shots, both on goal.
Foederer,
Adrian Renteria, and
Joseph Terry all played the full 110 minutes for the Bisons.
The Bisons will stay in Kansas and take on Fort Hays State on Saturday, October 2 with kickoff at 1 p.m.
