Pastiroff Notches First Goal in HU Loss at Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, Okla. – Freshman forward Jonah Pastiroff became the eighth different Harding player to score this season in a 3-1 loss to Southern Nazarene on Thursday in GAC/MIAA men's soccer action.

Pastiroff scored Harding's lone goal in the 70th minute.

The loss dropped Harding to 1-9-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the GAC/MIAA. With a win and a tie, Harding has four points and is fifth in the conference standings. The top four teams make the conference tournament. Southern Nazarene (5-4-3, 3-1-2) has 11 points and is in second place.

Southern Nazarene scored all three of its goals in the first half and outshot Harding 26-8 overall.

Harding returns home Saturday to take on Ouachita Baptist at 4 p.m. The Bisons' next three games are at home are Harding's final games of the season at Stevens Soccer Field.
