Harding Wins Season Opener at Puerto Rico Clasico

Box Score SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Taylor Currie scored 26 points and added nine rebounds to lead Harding to a 79-66 victory over Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras on Friday at the Puerto Rico Clasico 2022. It was the season opener for the Bisons, who take on Puerto Rico-Bayamon tomorrow at 11 a.m. Central Time.

Harding led 38-34 at halftime but shot 57% in the second half to pull away.

Currie shot 12 of 19 from the field.

J.T. Smith and Matija Milivojevic added 11 points each and Keyln McBride scored 10.

Harding had 20 assists and only seven turnovers and controlled the paint, outscoring Rio Piedras 34-16 in the lane.

Rio Piedras shot 38% for the game and made 5 of 20 3-pointers.
