The Harding women's golf team shot a 33-over 321 on Tuesday to finish the Lion Invitational in fifth with a 98-over 962. The Lady Bisons also made 19 birdies as a team, the most in the tournament. The host, Texas A&M-Commerce, won the tournament by eight strokes with a 71-over 935.
Alicia Martinez posted her second top-10 finish of the season with a 22-over 238 after a 6-over 78 on Tuesday putting her tied for seventh on the leader board.
Brenda Sanchez and
JoJo Perry both shot an 8-over 80 in Round 3 and finished tied for 23
rd with a 27-over 243.
Abbey Bryan, the tournament leader in birdies with eight, made two on Tuesday and shot an 11-over 83 to finish the tournament tied for 31
st with a score of 29-over 245.
Kodie Winnings rounded out the team scoring for the Lady Bisons, finishing with a 37-over 253 and tied for 41
st.
Julie Ferro was the lone individual golfer for the Lady Bisons and shot an 11-over 83 on Tuesday to finish with a 26-over 242 and tied for 20
th.
The Lady Bisons will now take a few weeks to prepare for the Great American Conference Tournament which will take place in Hot Springs on April 10-12.
