The Harding women's golf team shot the third-best score in the second round with a 20-over 308 to move up one spot to third on Monday in the GAC Championships at Hot Springs Country Club. Henderson State built on their lead and is currently atop the leaderboard with a 9-over 585.
Brenda Sanchez moved up four spots on Monday after shooting a 2-over 74. Sanchez sits in sixth with an 8-over 152.
Alicia Martinez moved up and is tied for ninth after a 4-over 76 with two birdies in Round 2 to be at 10-over 154 after Monday.
Abbey Bryan is tied for 17
th with a 14-over 158 after an 8-over 80 on Monday.
Julie Fierro climbed nine spots, the second biggest jump on Monday, with a 6-over 78 and is tied for 23
rd at 17-over 161.
JoJo Perry is tied for 30
th with a 21-over 165 after a 9-over 81 Round 2.
Gracen Blount of Henderson State took the lead on Monday with a 2-under 70 and is in first with a 1-under 143.
The Lady Bisons will look to surpass second-place Arkansas Tech on Tuesday and finish the GAC Championships on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
