The Harding men's golf team secured their third NCAA Division II Regional Appearance in program history on Friday when the tournament field was announced. The Bisons were the fifth-ranked team selected. The previous high ranking for the Bisons was No. 8.
The NCAA Central/Midwest Regional will be played on May 5-7 at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana. Harding is one of five GAC teams in the ten-team field. The Bisons are joined by Arkansas Tech, Henderson State, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Southern Arkansas.
The MIAA had four teams make the field with Rogers State, Central Missouri, Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma all securing their spots. Concordia-St. Paul was the NSIC Champion and secured the conference's automatic bid.
The Bisons are coming off a fourth-place finish at the GAC Tournament on April 10-12. The Bisons have earned two tournament wins this season and have had four different golfers win a tournament with All-GAC First Teamer
Sam Tandy winning two tournaments. Harding is ranked 45th in Division II in the latest GolfStat.com rankings.
The Bisons will tee off at the Purgatory Golf Club on Thursday, May 5 at 8 a.m.
