Harding Women's Golf Third after Round 1 at NSU Golf Classic

CATOOSA, Okla. – Shooting its third straight round of 301 or better, the Harding women's golf team sits third of 15 teams after Round 1 at the NSU Golf Classic, hosted by Northeastern State at the par-70, 5,839-yard Cherokee Hills Golf Club.

Harding shot 301 after shooting 301 and 300 in its two rounds last week at the Central Region Fall Preview. The Lady Bisons are only four strokes off the lead.

Junior Alicia Martinez shot a 2-over 72 and is tied for third on the individual leader board, just one stroke off the lead. Sophomore Pilar Martinez is tied for ninth at 4-over 74, and junior Brenda Sanchez is tied for 11th at 5-over 75.

The second and final round is Tuesday.
