Washko, Chappell Earn All-GAC at Conference Championships

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Harding sophomore Kaylie Washko and freshman Jessica Chappell both turned in top-10 finishes, and the Lady Bisons placed fifth of 12 teams at the 2023 Great American Conference Cross-Country Championships.

Washko earned First Team honors with a seventh-place finish in the 5K race in 18:16.6. She earned Second Team as a freshman.

Chappell placed ninth in 18:21.6 to earn her first honor. She placed second among freshmen in the race.

Harding's other scoring runners were freshman Abby Metzger (23rd, 18:51.9), sophomore Dinah Winders (30th, 19:07.6), and freshman Cassidy Graham (31st, 19:08.0).

Harding's next action is at the NCAA Central Region Meet in Joplin, Missouri, on Nov. 4.
