HU Women's Golf Ranked No. 9 Regionally in Fall Spikemark Rankings

SEARCY – The NCAA released its Division II women's golf fall rankings, compiled by Spikemark, on Wednesday. These are the first rankings since the NCAA switched over the summer from GolfStat to Spikemark to compile the rankings.

In the Spikemark rankings, teams are awarded points for each tournament based on course difficulty and strength of the field. The points for each tournament are averaged to determine the rankings.

Harding played in four tournaments in the fall and posted an average point total of 7.72 and a record of 31-26-1. The Lady Bisons are ranked No. 9 (of 33 teams) in the Central Region and third among Great American Conference schools. The MIAA and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference are also included in the Central Region.

Harding's best tournament score came at the NSU Women's Golf Classic, where the Lady Bisons placed second of 15 teams and earned 17.60 points.

Individuals are also given a point total in each event and ranked based on their average point total. Harding sophomore Pilar Martinez is ranked No. 19 in the Central Region with a 15.88 average. Harding's Brenda Sanchez is second among Lady Bison golfers (49th in the region) with a 6.89 average. Sydney Kincade is third (72nd in the region) with a 4.88 average.
