White Clears Four Meters to Reach NCAA Top 10

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Sierra White and senior Sarah Gautreaux both posted NCAA provisional heights in the pole vault and Jenna Akins clocked a provisional in the 400 meters Friday at the Arkansas Qualifier, hosted by the University of Arkansas at Randall Tyson Track.

White placed fourth with a clearance of 4.00 meters or 13 feet, 1.50 inches, and Gautreaux cleared 3.80 meters or 12 feet, 5.50 inches.

Akins, a senior, finished the 400 meters in 56.36 seconds.

The Arkansas Qualifier was the final regular season indoor meet for the Bisons.

The NCAA will announce the field for the NCAA indoor championships on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

With her height cleared Friday, White is ranked 10th in NCAA Division II.
