Sierra White Soars to Second Indoor All-America Honor in Pole Vault

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Harding University's Sierra White made history once again Friday, becoming only the second Lady Bison indoor field event performer ever to earn multiple All-America honors.

White, a junior from Aledo, Texas, broke her own Harding pole vault record at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships by clearing 4.05 meters or 13 feet, 3.5 inches and placing fifth to earn her second indoor All-America honor.

Her first All-America honor came last year when White placed seventh by clearing 12 feet, 11.50 inches at indoor nationals in Pittsburg, Kansas.

White joined Penny Mayberry as multiple indoor All-America award winners. Mayberry was a three-time indoor All-American in the high jump in 1993, 1994 and 1995.

With her fifth-place finish, White earned four points for Harding in the team competition.
