Balanced Attack Propels No. 20 Harding: Five Players Score Double Figures in 87-55 Win Over East Central

SEARCY – No. 20 Harding had five players score 10 or more points, led by Aubrey Isbell's 20-point effort and the Lady Bisons remained undefeated in Great American Conference play with an 87-55 victory over East Central on Saturday at Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

Harding connected on a season-high 12 3-pointers and made 13-of-16 free throws to move to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in conference. It was the Lady Bisons' 11th straight win overall and 19th consecutive at home.

Leading 21-13 after one quarter, Harding made 8 of 10 shots, including five 3-pointers, in the second quarter and pulled away, leading 48-22 at halftime. The Lady Bisons led by 34 points after three quarters and by as many as 45 in the fourth quarter.

Isbell made four 3-pointers and shot 7 of 10 from the field. Harley Harbour and Katelyn Kabrich both scored 13 points, Sage Hawley had 12 and moved into seventh at Harding in career scoring, and Maddi Holt added 10.

Harding's non-starters scored 52 points, and the Lady Bisons outrebounded the Tigers 45-25.

TEAM NOTES
  • Harding's 87 points were a season high and the most since scoring 105 in a 105-103 overtime road victory at Southern Arkansas on Dec. 3, 2022 ... the last time HU scored more points at home was in a 93-90 victory over Southern Arkansas on Dec. 2, 2021.
  • Harding made a season-high 12 3-pointers, the most since making 12 against Oklahoma Baptist on Feb. 12, 2022, a span of 50 games ... With the 10 3-pointers made against Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday, Harding made 10 or more 3-pointers in consecutive games for the first time since making 11 against Southern Arkansas on Jan. 18, 2020 and 14 against Northwestern Oklahoma on Jan. 23, 2020.
  • Harding had a season-high 19 assists, its fourth straight game with 15 or more.
  • Harding had a season-high 11 steals for the second straight game ... the Lady Bisons last had 10+ steals in consecutive games during a three-game stretch from Nov. 26-Dec. 2, 2021.
  • Harding had a 20+ rebound margin for the third time this season.
  • Harding shot 81.3% from the free-throw line, its fifth game this season shooting 80% or higher.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Isbell's 20 points were a season high and her fifth career 20-point game ... she made four 3-pointers for the first time in her career.
  • Harbour scored a season-high 13 points, matching her career high ... it was her third game with 10 or more points this season ... tied her career high with six free throws made.
  • Kabrich scored 13 points, her second straight game in double figures ... she has made six consecutive 3-pointers.
  • Hawley scored 12 points to increase her career total to 1,466 points moving past Stacey Owens (1,462, 2006-10) for seventh in career scoring at Harding.
  • Holt scored in double figures for the second straight game and shot 8 of 14 over the weekend.
SERIES NOTES
  • Harding leads the series 22-10 overall and 14-1 in Searcy ... the Lady Bisons have won the last nine meetings overall and the last 12 in Searcy.
